The geometric substructure of the particle-emitting source has been characterized via two-particle interferometry by the STAR collaboration for all energies and colliding systems at RHIC. We present systematic studies of charged pion interferometry. The collective nature of the source is revealed through the m T dependence of HBT radii for all particle types. Preliminary results suggest a scali...

متن کاملAntiparticle to particle ratios and identified hadron spectra in Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions
New results on antiparticle to particle ratios in Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions at √ s NN = 62.4 and 200 GeV from the PHOBOS experiment at RHIC are presented. Transverse momentum spectra of pions, kaons, protons and antiprotons from Au+Au collisions at √ s NN = 62.4 GeV close to mid-rapidity are also discussed. Antiparticle to particle ratios are found to be remarkably independent of the collision...
متن کاملIdentified Particle Production in p + p , d + Au , and Au + Au Collisions at RHIC
Measurements of identified particle production with the PHENIX experiment at RHIC have reached a mature state, where a multitude of nuclear systems at different colliding energies have been studied. The discovery configurations of √ sNN = 130 and 200 GeV Au+Au collisions have now been supplemented by additional Au+Au and Cu+Cu configurations at various energies, along with baseline p+p and d+Au...
متن کاملPion Interferometry in Auau Collisions at √ S Nn =200 Gev
We present preliminary results from a two-pion intensity interferometry analysis from Au+Au collisions at √ s NN =200 GeV measured in the STAR detector at RHIC. The dependence of the apparent pion source on multiplicity and transverse momentum are discussed and compared with preliminary results from d+Au and p+p collisions at the same beam energy.
متن کاملAnisotropic flow in Cu + Au collisions at √ sN N = 200 GeV
The anisotropic flow of charged hadrons in asymmetric Cu+Au collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider is studied in a multiphase transport model. Compared with previous results for symmetric Au+Au collisions, charged hadrons produced around midrapidity in asymmetric collisions are found to have a stronger directed flow v1 and their elliptic flow v2 is also more sensitive to the parton s...
